Delivery
Delivery is included free of charge to all mainland UK addresses - except the below postcodes which carry an additional charge that is added on during the checkout process. Please note the courier no longer guarantees next day delivery to these areas so please book a few days prior to your 37th week to allow extra transit times - all hires in these postcodes receive a 7 week hire automatically.

If you are not on the mainland (e.g. HS1-9, KA27-28, KW1-17, ZE,)  please email us prior to booking and we can provide you with a courier quote. Should you choose to go ahead with your order these additional fees will be deducted from your deposit.

Our couriers, FedEx, do not provide a delivery slot, however, they have begun to offer an estimated time of delivery in their email updates. If you are unsure if you can be at home they are happy to leave the box without a signature. Please add any information in the notes section (before your final checkout) if there is any details that you would like for us to add to your shipping details such as directions or a place you would like for the box to be left. If you would like your box to be delivered to a different address to the one it will be collected from (e.g. a workplace or family member) please add this information to the notes box too! 

We ship all of our pool boxes on a next working day courier service (except to Highlands). We will ship your box the working day before the day you have requested for the hire to start. Since March 2020 there has been a huge increase in the volume of boxes going through all courier services and there are still occasional, unavoidable delays. You are provided tracking to monitor your delivery which will confirm if your box is out for delivery etc. If your box is delayed we do not get notifications and do not contact the couriers as there is little that can be actioned until the box reaches the delivering depot. We will, of course, assist with any other delivery issues to ensure they are resolved quickly and should a box appear missing for more than two days will dispatch a replacement pool with the courier.

Returning your pool 
Once you are ready to have your pool collected you can contact Barefoot Birth Pools by email, text or phone to schedule in a pick up or use our collection request form on this website https://www.barefootbirthpools.co.uk/request-collection

We understand that expectations of couriers has changed this last few years and timed slots for deliveries is the norm for bigger companies - there are few couriers though who will collect from residential addresses, of those that do offer return collections they all expected the boxes to be dropped off at locations and not collected from customers homes. Of the few that would collect from residential homes they had a myriad of charges and fees if families were not at home or didn't make it to the door in time which we felt were an unwelcome stress for families with a newborn in the home! We have chosen FedEx as they are flexible and have no hidden charges for failed collections etc. which is important to us. 

Please be patient if there is a delay with your collection - we will assist as much as possible in ensuring that your box is collected promptly but all couriers are under enormous pressure from such a high volume of deliveries and this can lead to delays in areas with fewer drivers.

Lastly, it is your responsibility to ensure that the box is packed as per our handbook/website guidance and has the returns label securely placed over the original label before it is collected by the courier. If the returns label is not on the box or both labels are visible your box may go missing in the sorting hub and we are unable to process deposit refunds until your box has been received back and the contents checked and cleaned.

Once you have dried and packed your contents as per our handbook guidelines (leaving out any opened liners/hoses), completed your checklist and returned it to the box the box can then be sealed with your returns label applied to the outside.

You will need to quote the tracking number on your label when booking your pool.

Please supply our email address as the contact email when booking your pool so that we receive a notification that you have requested for your pool to be collected. Our email  address is info@barefootbirthpools.co.uk

If your collection address is
 different to the one on your label please contact Barefoot Birth Pools with the new address information so we can amend this for you - the original returns label will still be fine to use though!

 Barefoot Birth Pools will email you to confirm that we have made your booking with FedEx. If you have not received an email from Barefoot Birth Pools to confirm the day of your collection your pickup has not been booked yet - please do not wait in for FedEx until we have confirmed the day with you. 

The courier times are 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday           (not weekends or Bank Holidays). 

FedEx do not specify a slot and you will need to be available all day on your requested pick up day. 
Please consider this before booking your pick up.   

If you are unable to stay at home all day it is possible to leave the box in front of your door/in a safe and dry place, however, you will need to ensure that a clear note is left for the driver on your front door to ensure the driver knows he can take the box when you are not at home. 

If your box is not collected on the day arranged we will automatically rebook it for the next working day -  please contact us if there are any further issues though.

 We cannot help if we don't know there is a problem!
